Maitland Primrose Investments is a fully integrated division of the Maitland Primrose Group which operates in sectors of strategic importance for the group.
In 2006, it took a nominal stake in VNU ahead of the Dutch company’s sale to a syndicate of private equity investors. The purpose of such positioning was to propose a combination between Maitland Primrose’s then owned media assets and one of VNU’s subsidiaries. The proposal was rebuffed by VNU’s outgoing executive management. The experience created the blue-print for Maitland Primrose Investments operational ethos. Maitland Primrose Investments seeks financial interests and advisory opportunities in companies needing a strategic boost and active stakeholders campaigning. All those sectors which are highly correlated with global awareness and social growth such as Media, Academia and National Security constitute our area of focus.
